Ahmad's refinery's maintenance cost was at KD four million with the process taking around 56 days to complete, said a Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) official here Wednesday.
KNPC's Deputy CEO for the Ahmadi refinery Mutlaq Rashed Nasser Al-Azmi said at a press conference at the refinery that maintenance was within the company's five year plan to maintain Ahmadi refinery.
The Ahmadi refinery is amongst the largest in the Middle East region with a production capacity of 470,000 barrels per day, said Al-Azmi, affirming that it was imperative to run maintenance work on the refinery.
He indicated that during the process, a number of steps were carried out to improve the production capacities of a number of units within the refinery and also safety measures within the facility.
