Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdullah approved on Sunday five million pounds for buying new water pumps to be installed at Kurimat station to increase water supplies to the governorate to 90,000 cubic meter daily.
The move comes to address shortage in water supplies that reached in the summer more than 50 percent of local consumption rates.
The new water pumps will be finalized within two months.
