Around 64 needy families in South Sinai were granted social insurance pensions at a total value of four million pounds over the past four months, said Director of the South Sinai Social Affairs Directorate Fouad.
Also, 500,000 pounds were allocated as compensations to 149 families suffering from disasters, he added.
The directorate also earmarked 1.2 million pounds in cash to 32,000 persons harmed by desertification and drought in South Sinai.
