Efforts are underway to cultivate 300 feddans of long staple cotton without any chemical pesticides for the first time in Egypt, said director general of agricultural extension Mahmud el Kassar.
He further said that fertilizing cotton will be through organic fertilizers resulting from agricultural wastes instead of the chemical fertilizers.
