US President Barack Obama will host Jordanian King Abdullah in the Oval Office at 6:00 pm (2300 GMT) on Tuesday, the White House said.
The hastily arranged meeting comes after a video emerged showing the apparent burning alive of a caged Jordanian pilot captured by the Islamic State group.
