Nine suspected Al-Qaeda militants were killed early Saturday in a drone strike in southeast Yemen believed to have been carried out by the United States, security and tribal sources said.
The strike occurred in the same part of Yemen where the US military launched a failed operation late last month to rescue a hostage being held by the militant network.
