The book has been written by Sudanese writer Dr. Abdul Mon’em Hammat.

 A launching ceremony for the book titled “Philosophical Approach of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos” was organised by the office of His Majesty the Sultan’s Advisor for Cultural Affairs at the Land of Frankincense Museum in Al Baleed Archaeological Park in Salalah.

The book has been written by Sudanese writer Dr. Abdul Mon’em Hammat. The event was held on Wednesday under the patronage of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and the Governor of Dhofar. 

Present at the book’s launching ceremony were Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, His Majesty the Sultan’s Advisor for Cultural Affairs, members of the State Council and Majlis Al Shura, officials and those interested in cultural affairs.

The event included a speech by Dr. Abdul Mon’em Hammat during which he gave a brief introduction on the contents of the book, which contains ten chapters in 230 pages on the journey of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the philosophical aspects of His Majesty’s thought.

He added that the book sheds light on the philosophical approach of His Majesty as the chapter’s deal with many aspects including knowledge building, tolerance, diligence, the role of reason, social justice, consultation, heritage and identity. He pointed out that His Majesty the Sultan is the pioneer of enlightenment in this age in

dealing with the global human heritage and overcoming the cognitive challenges that hinder the progress of nations.
