Omani racing driver Ahmed Al Harthy won the Blancpain Endurance Championship in Italy

 Omani racing driver Ahmed Al Harthy won the Blancpain Endurance Championship in Italy yesterday, and labeled it a "historical win".

"Historical win, the Omani national anthem being played at Monza, Italy for the first time, " Al Harthy tweeted. 

Al Harth's team, Oman Racing Team with TF Sport, competed with 38 other teams in the three hour long circuit endurance race.

In 2014 the Omani driver clinched a 2nd place at the British GT Championship and 1st place in 2012 at the Carrera Cup GB Championship - Pro-Am.
