Ras Al Khaimah - Emirates Voice
You've won a million dirhams, what do you do? Pay off the credit card? Too boring. Buy a house? Too adult. Purchase one of those one-way tickets to Mars for your boss? Tempting, but in hindsight perhaps a tad wasteful. A one-way ticket to the Maldives for yourself, leaving your boss behind, is a lot more cost-effective, productive and will leave you with just about enough change for what we'd spend the winnings on.this. This is the Bentley Continental GT Speed and we love this car to such an extent that we're currently looking up the best black market prices we can get for a few of our less vital organs in order to acquire one. All right, all right, we're not going that far, but if our numbers came in, this car is top of our shopping list and this is why.
It's just gorgeous, right?
Looks aren't everything, as every mother tells the uglier of their children, and for people we have to agree. For cars, on the other hand, life is too short to spend your commute stuck in a Fiat Multipla. Imagine, if you had the money, waking up and skipping down to your parking spot to be confronted with that shape and front grille!
Not always a need for speed
Yes, 'speed' is in the name and, yes, it can reach over 330km/h, but the beauty of this Bentley Continental is the refined joy you feel cruising around at say, 100-110. The car is so smooth and quiet you'd swear you were only doing 30. If you do need to haul bottom, a quick stab of the accelerator and that W12 lets out an almighty din.
Prestige at a quick glance
It's a Bentley, so there's not really much need to go into the obvious charm which comes with the badge. Though, recently, with the number of footballers stocking up on the Continental in particular, some have begun to look down on the model. For shame! How dare you? Regardless of who else owns one you're going to feel like a royal.
Larger than it looks inside
The best way to drive this Continental Speed is with a single passenger in tow, calmly making your way to a weekend retreat in Ras Al Khaimah, only looking to floor it on the essential bits of motorway. Yet this isn't everyday life, and you'll be happy to hear, the two-seater looking vehicle believe it or not actually comfortably seats four.
Nothing compares to you
We're genuinely wracking our brains to think of another car as luxurious (the leather interior is wonderful), quick and stylish. We guess an Aston Martin DB11 is on par, but that's got more of a sports feel. This is a tourer in every sense and we love it. The effortless power and elegance is an intoxicating experience everyone deserves.
