Trying to get your message across will be an exercise in futility. Rather than arguing with a group of contentious people, keep your thoughts to yourself. Develop an independent project while they're trying to rule by committee. By the time their project comes to an end, you'll be able to launch an exciting initiative of your own possibly connected with social media or even the broadcast media in general. It will be much more rewarding than trying to talk sense to illogical blowhards.
