Vienna - IRNA
Diplomats from Non-Aligned Movement member states in International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA) headquarter here on Friday described new report of Yukiya Amano, director general of the Agency, as another evidence substantiating Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities. Following publication of Amano new report about Iran nuclear activity, NAM diplomats in Vienna welcomed two rounds of talks between Tehran and the Agency in the past one month and stressed that by mutual agreement and formation of a new modality, ground for future access and inspection could be provided. Amano new report on Iran nuclear activities was delivered to the Agency member states on Friday evening. Director general report will be distributed among member states of the Agency 10 days before seasonal session of the Governing Council. The next meeting of the Governing Council of the Agency will be held on March 5, 2012. Iran Ambassador and Permanent Representative in the IAEA Ali-Asghar Soltanieh had already said that for every kind of access and inspection, frameworks and modality should be agreed. NAM diplomats also agreed with Soltanieh and said that naturally to form a modality both sides should talk about their proposals and programs to reach an agreement. Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi in his visit to Vienna last June told Yukiya Amano that if the Agency declares modality of August 2007 completed, Iran would be ready to enter talks for formulating new modality for claimed studies. Upon modality of 2007 or document no. 60711 Iran had received certificates for six cases. A high ranking delegation from the Agency had traveled to Tehran twice last month and both sides presented their own proposals to form a new modality. Diplomats in Vienna believe that by forming the modality, a new round of cooperation between Iran and the Agency will be established.
