A fire that broke out on a yacht at the Hurghada Marina was contained by the navy on Saturday.
The navy's action followed a distress signal that was received by the Red Sea Naval base.
The general command of the Armed Forces immediately gave an order to rescue units to rush to the fire site where the flames were prevented from spreading to other yachts at the port.
No casualties were reported.
Civil protection fire engines participated in extinguishing the fire.
