An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted 103km WSW of Sibolga, Indonesia at 03:12:20 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 34.42 km, was initially determined to be at 1.5464 degrees north latitude and 97.8673 degrees east longitude.
