An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale jolted 247km WNW of Pangai, Tonga at 20:22:32 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 282.27 km, was initially determined to be at 18.8744 degrees south latitude and 176.4951 degrees west longitude.
