Three gunmen killed two policemen in an attack on a checkpoint in Menoufia governorate on Sunday, said the official of the security information center. 

The attack also left two non-commissioned policemen injured and a conscript along with a citizen who was accidentally passing through the checkpoint at the time of the attack, added the official.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, he said.

Security forces are searching for the perpetrators in the area, he noted.
