Police arrested 23 wanted criminals in a security campaign launched in North Sinai, said a security source on Wednesday. 

They included 11 fugitives from imprisonment verdicts and three people wanted over misdemeanor cases.

The campaign is part of the Interior Ministry's efforts to restore security to the Sinai Peninsula. 

All legal measures have been taken against those arrested
