Gaza - Mohamed Habib
Leading member of Islamic Jihad movement Khaled Al Batsh warned the Israeli authorities of the repercussions of any attacks against the Gaza Strip. He delivered a clear message to the occupying authorities that they will target the Israeli territories if they turned to re-attack the strip.
He added, during an interview with “Arabs Today”, that the Palestinian people are confident of Saraya al-Quds and Al-Qassam Brigades in addition to the other resistance factions, stressing that the enemy will witness courageous resistance.
He criticized the Palestinian authority for security coordination with the Israeli side, stressing that the current campaign to imprison the movement’s members aims to weaken the Palestinian resistance. He stressed that they will not achieve their objective.
He added that Palestinian Preventive Security Service should bear the responsibility of the current approach against the members of Palestinian resistance, warning of the repercussions of such approach. He added, “The authority and its leader have not realized the lesson. It has not changed its negative ideology based on suppressing the resistants.”
He blamed Preventive Security Service for deepen the current state of division in the Palestinian arena despite the national and international efforts exerted to unify the different factions to achieve the Palestinian objectives during the coming period.
He added, “Despite the Preventive Security Service’s approach against his movement’s members in the West Bank, We will resume our role to ease the suffering of Fatah’s members in Gaza.” He called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for releasing the movement’s members and taking serious measures against the violations committed by his agencies against the Palestinians.
Regarding the Palestinian prisoners in Israel, Batsh called the Palestinian people for escalating their movement against the Israeli occupation during the coming period to express their support for the Palestinians imprisoned in the Israeli prisons.
He called for organizing popular moves to pressure the occupation for suspending its violations against the prisoners, stressing his movement’s solidarity with those prisoners, especially Khaled Al Selawy and Ahmed Nasar who stood against the prison administration to express the will of Palestinian prisoners.
