Zenit St. Petersburg claimed their second win of the new Russian Premier League season with a 2-0 victory over Dinamo Moscow. The home side took the lead after ten minutes through Alexander Kerzhakov before Domenico Criscito added another in the 72nd minute. Zenit sit atop the standings with six points alongside Lokomotiv Moscow, who beat Krylya Sovetov 2-0. Roman Pavlyuchenko and Felipe Caicedo were the goalscorers for Lokomotiv. Amkar Perm got their campaign up and running with a 3-1 win over nine-man CSKA Moscow. Nikita Burmistrov's opener for Amkar was cancelled out by Keisuke Honda seven minutes later, but two goals from Alexei Rebko gave the hosts the advantage.
