Russian national women volleyball team began the 2011 European Championship, running in Italy and Serbia between September 23 and October 2, with a victory. The Russians, coached by Vladimir Kuzyutkin, defeated on Friday the team from Bulgaria 3-0 (25:13, 26:24, 25:20). The Russian team, playing in Pool D, will play their next games against Spain on Saturday and against the Netherlands on Sunday.
