Liang Wenchong believes a Chinese player is capable of winning a medal when golf returns to the Olympics in 2016, but only if his countrymen break out and play more tournaments abroad. \"The young Chinese golfers are motivated and inspired to play well. What we need is a strong platform to develop these golfers and hone their skills to another level,\" said Liang, who praised the OneAsia tour as a good launch pad. \"With this in place, I hope that China will at least win a medal at the 2016 Olympic Games,\" he said.
