Iranian woman archer in compound Maryam Ranjbar won on Sunday the gold medal of the 17th Asian Archery Championship in Tehran, Iran.She defeated her rivals from Thailand, Iran and India and finally defeated “Lee Hyu Jian” from South Korea 139 vs 134. The 17th Asian Archery Championships started on October 18 and will finish on October 24. The event is considered as qualifying competitions for the 2012 Olympics in London. The Asian Archery Championship has brought 22 countries together. Iranians archers have won three gold and two silver medals of the championship.
