The Kingdom of Bahrain is all ready and set to participate in the (London Olympiad 2012) scheduled to be conducted in the period 27 July to 12 August 2012 with 13 or more female and male world-class champions in swimming, marksmanship and marathons. The Bahraini Olympics Committee CEO Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa expressed his delight for Bahraini sportspeople partaking in the summertime Olympic games in London, adding that this participation is good compared with previous participation instances, especially as Bahraini and Gulf sportswomen have increased their participation.
