A debut win for the former Lanus man on Saturday against San Martin was the final straw for Garnero, who resigned his post shortly after.Facundo played 17 years of professional football in Argentina, Spain and England, with his most successful spells occurring at first club Ferro, Gimnasia and Racing. He ended his career in Caballito with Ferro, retiring at the age of 36 just six games into the 2010-11 season. His first test as coach will come on Saturday, when San Martin dispute the Clasico de Cuyo against fierce rivals Godoy Cruz.
