The Olympic Games have ruled out the chance of a Wembley fixture in August so the national side could line up in Bern instead days before the season starts. The FA is risking the wrath of Premier League managers by arranging an England \'home\' friendly against Italy in August, to be held in Switzerland.According to The Daily Mail, the national side could be facing the Azzurri at the 32,000-seater Stade de Suisse in Bern on 15 August, just three days before the league season restarts. Wembley has been overlooked as a venue as the set Fifa date for summer friendlies comes too close to the climax of the Olympic Games, with the men’s final taking place on 11 August.Euro 2012 finishes on July 1 and the FA are keen to arrange a friendly before England kick-off their World Cup 2014 qualifying campaign in Moldova in September, before hosting Ukraine a few days later.Current favourite for the England job Harry Redknapp is one of many Premier League bosses to express a dislike for August\'s widely unpopular international friendlies.Prior to an England friendly against Hungary in 2010, Redknapp said: “Can someone tell me why you have an international week the week the season is starting?\"They’ve just been away as a group together to the World Cup. They’re probably sick of the sight of each other.”
