In recognition of their efforts to ensure the success of the events, initiatives and campaigns held this year, the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah has honoured the representatives of over 60 public and private sector bodies.
The event was attended by Iman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Education Department, and the heads of the four health associations that support the Supreme Council for Family Affairs – the Breastfeeding Friends Association, the Friends for Diabetes Association, the Friends of Arthritis Patients and the Friends of Kidney Patients Association. It was also attended by many female employees and volunteers from these associations, as well as officials of constituencies.
Saif thanked the department’s partners for their continuous support and efforts, which have enabled it to accomplish outstanding achievements and enhance its success in expanding and developing its services and awareness and education initiatives, to realise its vision of improving the health-related-behaviour of all community members in Sharjah.
Saif stated that since the launch of the department by H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, the department has been working with her generous support, as well as through the efforts of employees, volunteers and partners, to encourage Sharjah citizens and residents to adopt healthy lifestyles while supporting patients who are unable to afford treatment.
She honoured the partners and distributed certificates at the end of the ceremony while wishing them success in serving the UAE community.
