Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General has condemned North Korea's firing of ballistic missiles.
In a statement, Guterres said that this action violates Security Council Resolutions and poses a threat to peace and security in the region. The Secretary-General called on North Korea to ensure full compliance with its international obligations and to return to the path of de-nuclearisation.
North Korea launched a ballistic missile from the northwestern part of the country early Sunday. It is the first missile test of Pyongyang since the election of the new president in South Korea.
