Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the murder of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov.

A foreign ministry source said in a statement that the action is contrary to international laws, the principles of protection of diplomats and international envoys, and humanitarian principles and ethics, the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, reported.

In the statement, the source also offered condolences to the family of the deceased and the Russian Federation's government and people.
