Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al ­Ahmad

Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al ­Ahmad Al ­Jaber Al ­Sabah on Tuesday sent a cable of condolences to German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the victims of the truck attack that targeted a Christmas market and left dozens of people dead or injured, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

In the cable, the Kuwaiti Amir sharply condemned the attack as a heinous criminal act that targeted innocents, and breaches all religions and human values.

The Kuwaiti leader also reiterated Kuwait's support for all measures Germany is taking to confront terrorist acts that aim at disrupting its security and stability.

Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad further reaffirmed Kuwait's unshakable position based on rejecting all forms and manifestations of terrorism, and backing the international community in its fight against terrorism.

Meanwhile, Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al ­Ahmad Al­ Jaber Al ­Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al ­Hamad Al Sabah sent the German chancellor two cables of similar sentiments.
