Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani, GCC Secretary-General, strongly condemned the terrorist bombings which targeted a Coptic Cathedral, in Cairo, leaving dozens of people dead and wounded.

Dr. Al Zayani described the incident as being "a cowardly terrorist act that contradicts all human and moral values".

Al Zayani expressed the GCC States' disapproval for this horrible crime, as well as their support for the Egyptian government in its efforts to combat sedition, extremism and terrorist organisations.
