The funeral prayers for Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Deputy Ruler of Fujairah, who passed away on Wednesday, have been performed at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah.

The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has mourned the death of the Deputy Ruler.

In its statement, the ministry said that The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, mourned the death of Sheikh Hamad, praying Allah Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace.

The ministry announced a three-day mourning period in the country, during which flags will fly at half-mast.
