Egypt has strongly condemned an attack launched by Houthi militants on a ship carrying humanitarian supplies to Yemen.

The spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that the attack violates international laws and norms.

He further wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The UAE-flagged vessel was carrying medical and relief aid to the Yemeni people when it was targeted by Houthi militias near the Mandeb Strait.
