Exhibition will open early June Venice - Arabstoday Luxury label Swarovski has announced the launch of Swarovski Foundation, created to promote "artistic inspiration" in creative industries including fashion, art, design, theatre and film. The foundation is a natural extension of the collaborations that Swarovski creates with established and emerging designers including Ron Arad, Zaha Hadid, Tom Dixon, Karl Lagerfeld, Mary Katrantzou, Marios Schwab and Giles Deacon. Swarovski Foundation works closely with the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore and will provide a financial donation enabling the restoration of the statue of San Giorgio, which stands on top of the dome of the church. Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore will also house Perspectives, an installation created by minimalist designer John Pawson for Swarovski. The exhibition opens June 1 as part of the La Biennale di Venezia art exhibition
