Elegant collection New York - Arabstoday Karl Lagerfeld and Hogan have once again collaborated to produce their fourth collection for the autumn-winter 2012/13 season. Bringing together ready-to-wear and accessories, the collection borrows from the DNA of both the French and the Italian houses: the “haute couture” working sketches and balanced proportions of Karl Lagerfeld, together with the sporting chic concepts and urban luxury of Hogan. Concentrating on the essentials of a winter season, this new collection centres around the Interactive, the iconic style of Hogan. Karl Lagerfeld reinterprets this with day-time and night-time versions. The day-time pieces features black or white patent leather studded with pyramid-shaped nails, nubuck covered with a metallic cascade of distressed gold or mercury, grey leather embroidered with cashmere patterns in the style of a tapestry. Night-time pieces features plain denim with silver leather braiding, grey leather latticework, and leather or pewter embroidered with two-tone mini-pearls and with floral patterns on the uppers. Karl Lagerfeld’s colour codes also apply to the down jackets, which are either short, ¾-length or coat-length. Intersecting, buttoned and in satin-textured nylon, on the cuffs and on the sleeves, they have been decorated with a honeycomb of mother-of-pearl or metallic finished wool and thread. Using the same principle, a lacework of bouclé fabric in blue with wax finish has been applied to a down jacket in black technical fabric looks like vinyl. A pearl grey woollen jacket, zipped from one side to the other and adorned with double sporty pockets, complete this ensemble. For each of these models, a matching bag has been created: a straight-sided shopping bag in black leather topstitched with a large nail-embossed H, interwoven with silver cashmere motifs, topped with a sheet of crinkled silver, together with a clutch bag in nubuck speckled with distressed gold metal droplets, nail-heads and with a zipped pocket.
