Egyptian expert of etiquette Shimaa Morsi revealed that Eid Al Fitr has its ceremonies related to the religious side, and also on the social issues. He said that Eid Al Fitr comes to mark the end of the holy month of fasting, stressing that the people should adopt the etiquette of Eid Al Fitr during dealing with their relatives and sons.
He added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that the gift offered to the children during Eid Al Fitr has its moral importance not financial one, saying that the feast’s gifts are not limited to the children, while it should extend to the fathers and mothers. She stressed that the feast’s gifts perform a major role to support relations with families.
She stressed that the children should realize the importance of the feast’s gift, saying that the parents should work to teach them how to save the money to buy what they need in the future. He added that they should choose what they need to buy to support their self-confidence.
Regarding the visits, she said that the visits conducted during Eid Al Fitr should be short and limited light meals, saying that the visit should not transcend 30 minutes to provide the family with the opportunity to go out of their houses.
She stressed the need for congratulating the friends and relatives on Eid Al Fitr during all its days, stressing the importance of such action to keep good relations between the people.
