Media Education Conference will launch tomorrow in Ajman

The first Media Education Conference will launch tomorrow in Ajman, organised by the Ministry of Education, with the participation of the ministry’s employees, teachers and students, as well as various academics and journalists.
The two-day conference, which will be held at the Teacher Training Institute of the Ministry of Education in Ajman, under the patronage of Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, will discuss the educational role of new media in terms of reality and future aspirations. It will include 60 workshops targeting 900 employees and leaders from the Ministry of Education, as well as teachers, students and parents.
The conference will address several topics, including the sociological and educational dimensions of media education in new media, the role of media education in the UAE’s future aspirations, teachers and media education, and local and regional experiences in media education.
A group of journalists will participate as the main speakers in the conference. The workshops will be presented by a group of media professors from universities and media institutions, as well as prominent journalists such as the editor-in-chief of Al Ittihad newspaper and Abdullatif Al Sayegh, Executive Director of the Al Sayegh Media Agency.
The conference will also include many media stalls, including the Al Ittihad newspaper stall that will introduce the "Comment and Take Photos Positively" initiative, as well as the stalls of the Emirates News Agency, WAM, and the Emirates Media Vision Networks.
