The Sharjah Police have arrested two Iranians and foiled their attempt to sell a "large quantity" of crystal meth among youths in different parts of the county.

Brig Mohammed Rashid Bayat, director of police operations department, said the police received a tip-off that the suspects would try to promote the drugs among the youth in the country. After confirming the information, the police formed a team of officers in coordination with the Ministry of Interior's anti-narcotics department to arrest the suspects.

The team laid a trap and arrested the suspects red-handed. The suspects confessed to the crime during police interrogation. The police seized the drugs found in their possession and referred the case to the public prosecution
