Sharjah Police are investigating the mysterious death of a 23-year-old Emirati whose body was found hanging from the ceiling of a washroom in a Sharjah hotel.

The police said that they received a call at the operation room on Sunday morning informing them about the incident.

A police team rushed to the site and found the body of the man -- identified as A.A.H. -- hanging from the ceiling of the bathroom attached to one of the hotel rooms.

The team brought down the body and shifted it to the forensic laboratory. They also gathered finger prints and other evidence for further investigation.

According to the eyewitness, the deceased was with his girlfriend hailing from an Eastern Europe country.

The police held the girlfriend and some other people for interrogation. They were being questioned to ascertain the cause of the death.

The police are suspecting foul play and have launched intensified investigation to solve the mystery behind the man's death.
