Ajman Police cracked a murder mystery by arresting a 37-year-old man who killed a 30-year-old African, whose decomposed body was found in an accommodation in the industrial area of the emirate.

Police arrested the killer - from the same nationality and identified as A.A.R - who stabbed the victim several times in his abdomen and fled away.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Major Ahmed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of CID Department at Ajman Police, said that they received a call informing them about bad odour emanating from a place in the industrial zone.

A police team rushed to the site where it found the body of the African man identified as D.M.A. The initial investigation revealed that it was a murder case. Police collected evidence and shifted the body to forensic department for the autopsy.

The CID formed an investigation team to hunt for the murderer. Their trail took them to an African man identified as H.N.R who revealed to the police that he was with the suspect and the victim at the scene of the crime. A quarrel erupted between him and the suspect due to a work-related issue. The victim intervened to help him, but the accused stabbed him several times and escaped.

The police zeroed in on the whereabouts of the suspect and arrested him. The accused confessed to the crime and was referred to public prosecution.
