Turkish counter-terror police launched dawn raids targeting Daesh members across Istanbul on Wednesday, as Turkish forces launched an operation in northern

Turkish authorities arrested Thursday 16 people believed to be members of terrorist group Daesh on charges of planning to carry out terrorist acts in the country.

Sources said the security forces raided 20 hideouts in five different districts of the Asian side of Istanbul, arresting 16 suspects and seizing a number of documents and electronic devices for the organization.

They also seized books related to Fethullah Gulen’s organization which has been classified in Turkey as a terrorist group.
