A young British man died while jogging in a mountainous area in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

Police sources told Khaleej Times that the incident took place late Tuesday night.

"The man was accompanied by his friend, also a Briton, when he collapsed and breathed his last."

As the friend informed the RAK police, a chopper was dispatched to the site but the man had already died, they added.

"Investigations are on to ascertain the cause of his death."
