His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today ratified and issued Law 22/2017 on amending Article 2 of Law 74/2006 on the welfare, rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities, after being approved by the Representatives and Shura councils.
The text of Article 2 of Law 74/2006 was amended as follows:
“The provisions of this Law shall apply to Bahraini persons with disabilities, and to people with disabilities from the children of Bahraini women married to foreigners with permanent residence in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
The Prime Minister and ministers –each in their capacity, shall implement the law which takes affect a day after its publication in the Official Gazette..
