Ankara - Arab Today
Five soldiers were killed and seven others were injured in Turkey's southeastern Sirnak province on Wednesday.
Turkish Anadolu Agency (AA) quoted security sources as saying that members affiliated with Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) detonated an explosive device planted on the side of the road while an armored military vehicle, carrying the soldiers, was passing by the road.
Turkey's southeast has seen the worst violence in two decades since the PKK abandoned a 2-1/2-year ceasefire last year.
