At least 20 people have died after a passenger bus plunged into Trishuli River early on Friday in central Nepal, a senior local official said.
The bus was heading to the tourist town of Pokhara from the southern district of Rautahat fell some 200 meters off the road at Chandibhanjyang-6 into Trishuli River at around 3 am this morning. "Twenty-one people have died in the accident and 16 have been rescued," district chief Binod Prakash Singh said, adding that the injured have been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
