Twenty persons were wounded when a heavy lorry driver lost control and collided with 27 vehicles in the northern city of Irbid, the Civil Defense Department said on Thursday.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals and they were reported to be in a fair condition, a CDD statement said.
