Member of Egyptian Football Federation Magdy Abdel Ghany said that the regulations organizing the players’ affairs in Egypt need to be reviewed during the coming period, saying that his council works to reform the regulations during the coming period to resolve the problems related to the Egyptian players and their clubs as soon as possible.
He added that the current board gives the priority to the reform of regulations, blaming the lawsuits filed against them for their impediment. He also blamed the former board for selling the Egyptian Premier League matches to individual channels, saying that such approach undermined the efforts aiming to market the Egyptian league.
He called the teams to allow the current board to sell the league’s matches in collective way, saying that they would achieve more financial gains if they adopted this approach. He added that the board faces serious pressures during their problems with both Ahly and Zamalek due to their increasing popularity among the Egyptian people.
He signaled that there is a state of consensus among the members over the personality who will take the position of the vice president, expressing his aspiration that the Egyptian national team will qualify to World Cup scheduled to be held in Russia in 2018.
