The 34-year came on as a substitute for injured captain Hossam Ghaly at half-time and led Ahly to victory, drilling home 12 minutes into the half. Earlier, Al-Said Hamdi gave Ahly a 15th minute lead, which was cancelled out by Hisato Sato at the Toyota Stadium. Hossam Al-Badry's side will face Brazilian side Corinthians in the first semi-final on Wednesday.
