Minister of Local Development General Adel Labib said the financial dues of contractors in eight governorates reached EGP 113 million.
A committee specialized with assessing the dues of contractors in the governorates of Cairo, Matrouh, Menoufiya, Kafr el Sheikh, Daqahliya, Beni Suef, Minya and Assiut released a report on the dues of contractors to ministries and various local administrations.
He said the committee was formed in implementation of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab's decision in this regard.
