Parliament Speaker Yahya Ali al-Raei praised on Saturday the steady attitudes of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)\'s states towards Yemen\'s unity, security and stability as well as its sustainable development. This came during his meeting with Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan and his accompanied delegation, who is currently visiting Yemen. The position of the GCC\'s states reflected their keenness over the political settlement and the peaceful transition of power in Yemen, and the implementation of the comprehensive national dialogue conference in order to enable the country to overcome its current difficulties, al-Raei added. Al-Raei called for the need to strengthen the role of the Arab Parliament to reunion the Arab parliamentarians and to develop their activities and gathering them in a unified parliamentary entity interesting on issues of the Arab nation. For his part, Al-Jarwan expressed his gladness over his visit to Yemen, renewing the position of the Arab Parliament and the Gulf states in propping up the Yemeni people and in stabilizing the country\'s unity and security. He also pointed out that the Arab Parliament puts its potential in servicing the Yemeni people to achieve their legitimate aspirations.
