UAE Foreign Affairs Ministry has warned citizens not to travel to Lebanon at this time unless necessary. Emirates news agency reported the ministry's under secretary Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed as saying that the warning against traveling to Lebanon comes as the new year holidays are approaching and as a result of the "difficult and sensitive political circumstances in the sisterly Lebanon." He urged the citizens to comply with this warning until further notice and to be cautious when traveling outside the country.
