Non-citizens among these prisoners will be deported back to their home countries

The UAE leadership has ordered the release of 1,907 prisoners across the country ahead of Eid Al Adha.
On Monday, the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ordered the release of 803 prisoners in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered the release of 543 prisoners of different nationalities from Dubai's correctional and punitive establishments on Tuesday.

Attorney-General of Dubai, Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, said this order will bring happiness to the prisoners' families, help the pardoned individuals get a fresh start in life and support them in reintegrating into the community.

Al Humaidan said that the order will have a positive impact on the community, as it will give the pardoned prisoners a chance to rejoin their families and friends and begin a new chapter in their lives.

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, ordered the release of 117 prisoners. Prisoners who exhibited good conduct and those with debts were among those who were pardoned.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, ordered the release of 92 prisoners who showed good conduct. The non-citizens among these prisoners will be deported back to their home countries.

His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, ordered the release of 47 prisoners who showed good conduct.

Major-General Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, expressed hope that this gesture would give the pardoned prisoners a chance to begin a new chapter in their lives.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, ordered the release of 305 prisoners who showed good conduct.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'allah, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, also announced the release of a number of prisoners on the occasion, without specifying a figure.
